I’ve made a mock-up cover for my next novel, which I hope to be the first one that gets properly published. Here it is:

This is my vision for the cover, but of course, if I get traditionally published who knows what cover they’ll end up going with.
In Those of Diamonds and Silence, a devoted member of the totalitarian Administration named Millie Grane confronts a strange criminal refusing to wear the Safety Units (soundproof mask, Diamond-patterned body suit, hearing instruments, and contact lenses) that filter out all unwanted and improper sights, sounds, and sensations… especially those considered improper by the AI Administrator that manages all of society.
Like most people, Millie loves her Safety Units and the comfortable, customized, protected daily experience they afford her. Through them, life seems brighter, safer, augmented in real time by AI sound and imagery. But she’s beginning to wonder if the Renegade man who refuses to use them, who says reality is better lived unfiltered, is really as evil and foolish as society says he is.
After suffering lots of embarrassing creative setbacks and finally getting back on it only recently, the first draft is about 50% finished. The finished, published book will hopefully arrive on store shelves sometime in 2027! (That’s my goal, anyway!)
